About Me.
Bio:
I was born and raised in Southern California and attended college at Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan. Since high school, I have been involved with student publications and have always been a writer at heart. In college, I continued writing, but also expanded my passions to coding and research as I participated in labs, projects, and coursework.
I am passionate about making an impact on organizations through teamwork, strong interpersonal connections, and productive communication. As I look to the next chapter of my life, I am excited to apply my personal experiences and skills to a professional position.

Education:
I graduated with a degree in modern American history with minors in computer science, data science, and social science quantitative analytics.
While working towards my history degree, I completed numerous research projects with primary and secondary sources. Two of my favorite papers included one about health textbooks sponsored by the Women's Christian Temperance Union during American Prohibition and another focused on the beginning of the "New Left" movement within the Students for Democratic Society and the Port Huron Statement. I also received the Sandra Sageser Clark Endowed Scholarship in 2022 for public history and publications primarily for my professional work on the campus yearbook.

Although interconnected, I have learned distinct skills from my three minors. I have learned and applied R, Python, and C++ in class projects and presented on findings from quantitative data. Through the different courses I took, I gained skills and knowledge related to modeling, data visualization, research methods, and statistics. Check out some of my class projects on my GitHub!

Additionally, I was one of 18 students chosen yearly for the prestigious Social Science Scholars Program through the MSU College of Social Science. The program is focused on interdisciplinary approaches, community service, and making a difference through research. Through this program, I took four seminars related to inequality, climate change, history, psychology, and social science research methods. I traveled abroad with the program to the United Kingdom in the Summer of 2022.
